What data we collect
By default, none. Sideload Spanish does not collect, sell, or share personal data for analytics, advertising, or tracking. Your learning progress and settings are stored locally in your browser.
What stays on your device
- Your learning progress, including words known and seen counts
- Your settings, including density, blacklist, and toggle state
- The bundled vocabulary list used by the extension
Optional sync
The extension includes an optional sync capability that is not currently being sold on the public site. If sync is enabled in a future launch, progress data would be encrypted on your device before upload so the server cannot read its contents.
Network requests and analytics
The extension does not use analytics, ads, or telemetry. It only makes network requests if the optional sync feature is enabled for backup or restore.
Waitlist
The public website may offer a simple mailing-list or waitlist contact flow to measure interest in sync. That flow is separate from the extension itself.
Third-party services
- Sideload Spanish sync service — stores only encrypted sync blobs if sync is enabled in a future launch.
- Buttondown — processes mailing-list and waitlist subscriptions submitted through the public website.
